Lindsay grew up in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Urban Planning from the University of Pittsburgh before moving to Nashville in 2014. She earned her law degree from Belmont University College of Law, where she received the Bruin Merit Scholarship. While attending Belmont, Lindsay successfully completed Belmont’s competitive Advanced Trial Advocacy program, as well as clerked in Davidson County Criminal Court, Division VI, for Judge Mark Fishburn. She also worked for Belmont’s University Counsel. After graduating from Belmont College of Law and passing the Tennessee Bar Exam, Lindsay co-founded Baumgardner & Spata.
Alexa grew up in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and History from Tennessee Tech University. She earned her law degree from Belmont University College of Law. While attending Belmont, Alexa competed in mock trial competitions as well as held a leadership position and wrote briefs for the Belmont Criminal Law Journal. Alexa also participated in an internship at the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services and clerked in Criminal Court, Division VI for Judge Mark Fishburn. In 2017, Alexa was awarded the Tennessee Bar Association’s Law Student of the Year Award for pro bono work she completed while in law school. After graduating from Belmont College of Law and passing the Tennessee Bar Exam, Alexa co-founded Baumgardner & Spata.
